Recognizing our Leaders – Price Adams

At Nuffer, Smith, Tucker (NST), we’ve set our sights on redefining public relations. While so much has changed over the last four decades, at NST one thing has remained constant – each of our agency leaders, past and present, have been at the forefront of redefining the role of public relations. In celebration of the agency’s 47th anniversary, we’re highlighting our current leaders who continue to push the status quo of what is considered “traditional PR.”

Never settling for mediocracy, Executive Vice President and Partner Price Adams ensures there is value added in everything she touches. Price joined the Nuffer, Smith, Tucker (NST) team 16 years ago and has propelled her evolving career not out of a desire to compete with her colleagues, but rather an unwavering drive to deliver outstanding results. From day one, Price has put in the time and energy to push NST and public relations forward.

Price jumps headfirst into each project that comes her way with unparalleled enthusiasm. From tackling everyday tasks to conquering unique challenges with an unending attention to detail, Price’s passion for her work is downright infectious – whether a client or colleague, you can’t help but get excited about the project at hand while working with her.

This passion, along with her work ethic and refusal to cut corners, has resulted in numerous successes for her clients, the agency and herself as a professional. When San Diego was the first market in the nation to debut McDonald’s All Day Breakfast, Price spearheaded local PR efforts resulting in media coverage throughout the country. Price also led NST’s efforts to rebrand the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and develop a refreshed brand platform, logo and website. She also directly supports NST staff development by overseeing its internal writing workshop and quality control program and regularly contributing to professional development sessions. In short, her forward thinking frequently creates opportunities to elevate the agency, her teammates and her clients.

Constantly pushing herself to learn more, Price encourages those around her to do the same. Leading by example, Price recently completed LEAD San Diego’s Advance program, a seven-month course designed to address the gender gap in the C-suite and boardroom by empowering women leaders to leverage their strengths to make an impact in their personal lives, careers and communities.

Throughout the years, Price has developed a broad collection of vertical market expertise by immersing herself in her clients’ industries and businesses. As a result, she effortlessly adapts to exceed client needs in a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, retail, business-to-business, agriculture, consumer electronics, education and the nonprofit sector. Price’s current portfolio includes McDonald’s of San Diego County, California Department of Food and Agriculture’s Citrus Pest and Disease Prevention Program, Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego, San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, The Conrad Prebys Foundation, Community HousingWorks, San Diego Association of Governments, San Diego Housing Commission, Jackson & Blanc and White Labs.

“One of her biggest strengths is that she can jump in on anything and do an awesome job,” said Teresa Siles, NST president and partner. “No matter what she’s working on, I know I can count on her to always produce high quality work. Price is the kind of person that you want on your team regardless of the challenge, because she always finds a way to deliver above and beyond.”

As a leader, Price embodies NST values, and that has a big impact on internal agency operations and company culture. She challenges everyone on the team – from PR interns to account directors – to live these values and provides the team room to rise to the occasion. Supportive, candid but respectful, a model for doing the right thing, accountable and so much more … Price ensures NST is on a solid path toward breaking down the boundaries of traditional public relations.
