NST’s Make Things Better Initiative

Nuffer, Smith, Tucker has a longstanding history of community service in San Diego, and in 2023 we took this legacy to the next level by introducing our Make Things Better Initiative. The initiative is a reflection of the agency’s purpose to better ourselves, our partners and the world around us and through it we align with causes, organizations and areas in which our agency’s time, talent and resources can make things better. Our Make Things Better initiative runs deep, embracing the following key actions:

Key Actions

An umbrella program designed to live our purpose.

Annual plans that take aim at a new cause or initiative each year, selected by the team.

Support for individual team members to make a difference in areas that matter to them through company-matched donations and paid time off to encourage volunteerism.

NST’s 2026 Cause

Workforce Support for Women

As a 50+ year old organization that is now female-owned, Nuffer, Smith, Tucker (NST) is introducing workforce support for women as the newly committed Make Things Better cause for this year.

The 2026 cause was selected after a company-wide vote, showcasing the team's drive to help remove barriers that prevent women, especially those in under-resourced communities, from obtaining, maintaining and advancing in employment.

To accomplish this, NST is partnering with Sharia’s Closet, Girls Rising and YWCA San Diego County from now through the end of the calendar year on volunteer opportunities that strengthen our ability to create inclusive, effective solutions, and drive meaningful change in diverse communities.

Together, NST is committed to Make Things Better in San Diego, and beyond.
