Nuffer, Smith, Tucker Extends Food Security Initiative After Record Internal Engagement

After a vote from the team, Nuffer, Smith, Tucker (NST) is extending its commitment to nutrition and food insecurity for our 2025 Make Things Better initiative. The decision follows a banner year in which NST received 95% team participation (via volunteerism and/or financial contributions) in the company-wide program.

Food insecurity touches every corner of San Diego, crossing cultural, economic and geographic boundaries. The depth of the issue makes it a uniquely powerful area for NST’s community engagement and diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. By understanding how food insecurity affects different populations, we create more inclusive and effective solutions. This natural alignment with our continued commitment to DEI allows for a deeper, more meaningful impact throughout San Diego’s diverse communities.

This year, NST will build on the strong foundation established with the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank while exploring new partnerships that reflect and serve San Diego’s diverse communities. The momentum from 2024 shows that when people have the chance to make a difference in an area they care about, they’ll exceed expectations.

NST’s Make Things Better initiative, launched in 2023, follows a three-pronged approach: an umbrella program designed to live the company’s purpose; annual plans that allow the agency to support causes the team deems important; and backing for individual team members to support causes that matter to them.
