A Fresh, New Website to Highlight New Direction and Branding
Opportunity
After taking the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce through an organizational-wide rebranding process (hyperlink: /results/branding-san-diego-regional-chamber), NST was charged with redesigning the organization’s website, not only to incorporate the Chamber’s new visual branding, but to make it easier for the public to navigate and for Chamber staff to update via an easy-to-use content management system. NST also sought a way to integrate the Chamber’s existing Salesforce database into the new site to streamline internal data management.
Approach
With these goals in mind, NST began the work of developing a content outline, site map, page designs and programming for the nearly 260-page, responsive website. Once finalized, NST was able to integrate several features to make the website’s content dynamic, so staff could update and control the various features of the site in real-time, including full backend access via WordPress, a customizable events calendar and iFrame integrations of common Salesforce forms to ensure the database had the most current information possible. The Chamber’s new website was well received by its staff, board, members and the San Diego business community. Site visitors like the site’s modern and clean design while finding the site’s wealth of information easy to navigate.
NST continues to provide ongoing website maintenance and helps to launch new features, such as the LEAD San Diego section of the site and upgrading the backend Bootstrap framework. Additionally, NST provides ongoing training to the Chamber’s internal team so they can update the site in-house.
