Paid Media Specialist

We're seeking an analytical, results-driven specialist with 2-3 years of experience in paid media. This role requires someone who excels at advertising campaign management, is data-savvy, and is eager to explore new media channels and strategies to achieve exceptional results for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and optimize paid media campaigns from conception to launch.
  • Work cross-departmentally and with external agency partners to align campaign strategies and goals across the organization, ensuring seamless integration with overall marketing efforts.
  • Build out paid media plans for various advertising channels platforms from traditional (TV, radio, print, zoned cable) to digital (SEM, programmatic display/video, Meta, DV360, OTT, etc.), out-of-home and multilingual channels.
  • Collaborate with external agency partners to guide strategy, fine-tune recommendations, traffic creative needs and prepare results for client presentations.
  • Define, measure, and evaluate relevant paid media KPIs, delivering actionable insights and reporting on campaign performance to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct all necessary audience research, segmentation, and ad grouping to enhance targeting effectiveness and ROI.
  • Oversee and manage the paid media budget, adjusting bids and allocations to meet campaign goals.
  • Create and maintain relationships with media vendors and partners.
  • Develop and implement paid social media campaigns, with an emphasis on Meta, including set-up and oversight of Ads Manager.
  • Collaborate with creative and content teams to develop high-quality ad copy, visuals, and landing pages that support campaign objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends to inform strategy and campaign adjustments.
  • Communicate paid media content and strategies to clients for feedback while effectively managing client expectations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in paid media campaign management, including hands-on experience with key channels.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, ad management tools, and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, familiarity with project management tools such as Asana or similar, and the ability to finish tasks on schedule with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with multicultural paid media campaigns and translation services is a plus, but not required.

Hybrid schedule, with two in-office days per week in San Diego.

Salary: $60,000 - $75,000
