What’s your favorite tool in the toolbox?
Strategic thinking. It helps us anticipate questions, threats and vulnerabilities and reveals opportunities traditional thinking might miss. Couple strategic thinking with creativity and all the other tools in the PR toolbox become infinitely more valuable. I also live for a good brainstorm.
What have you learned so far in your career?
It’s a small world and your network is priceless. Invest in it. Pay it forward. Don’t burn bridges. With every interaction, make sure people remember you for the good you do and the ways you lift them up.
What’s your proudest PR moment?
Milestone campaigns like launching Amazon Web Services, introducing WiFi at Starbucks or demonstrating wireless power transfer for the very first time to a standing ovation at TechCrunch Disrupt are all proud moments. But I’m most proud of the young PR pros I’ve mentored along the way, who have gone on to do some incredible things themselves.

You can find me anywhere that requires a costume or excessively dressing up. I love a good theme.
