NST’s Make Things Better Initiative

Nuffer, Smith, Tucker has a longstanding history of community service in San Diego, and in 2023 we took this legacy to the next level by introducing our Make Things Better Initiative. The initiative is a reflection of the agency’s purpose to better ourselves, our partners and the world around us and through it we align with causes, organizations and areas in which our agency’s time, talent and resources can make things better. Our Make Things Better initiative runs deep, embracing the following key actions:

Key Actions

An umbrella program designed to live our purpose.

Annual plans that take aim at a new cause or initiative each year, selected by the team.

Support for individual team members to make a difference in areas that matter to them through company-matched donations and paid time off to encourage volunteerism.

NST’s 2024 Cause

Nutrition and Food Insecurity

San Diego, like many other regions, faces challenges related to food access, affordability and nutritional quality, directly affecting residents' health and resilience.

The 2024 Make Things Better philanthropic cause was determined by NST employees, who recognized the immediate impact nutrition and food insecurity has on the health and well-being of the San Diego community.

This year, our primary philanthropic partner is the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. Our partnership with the food bank will help to address nutrition and food insecurity throughout the region and foster positive community change through targeted initiatives supporting the food bank and its non-profit partners.

Together, NST is committed to Make Things Better in San Diego, and beyond.
