Make Things Better
NST’s Make Things Better Initiative
Nuffer, Smith, Tucker has a longstanding history of community service in San Diego, and in 2023 we took this legacy to the next level by introducing our Make Things Better Initiative. The initiative is a reflection of the agency’s purpose to better ourselves, our partners and the world around us and through it we align with causes, organizations and areas in which our agency’s time, talent and resources can make things better. Our Make Things Better initiative runs deep, embracing the following key actions:
Key Actions
An umbrella program designed to live our purpose.
Annual plans that take aim at a new cause or initiative each year, selected by the team.
Support for individual team members to make a difference in areas that matter to them through company-matched donations and paid time off to encourage volunteerism.
NST’s 2025 Cause
Nutrition and Food Insecurity
San Diego, like many other regions, faces challenges related to food access, affordability and nutritional quality, directly affecting residents' health and resilience.
After achieving 95% team participation in 2024, the Nuffer, Smith, Tucker (NST) team voted to continue its commitment to addressing nutrition and food insecurity for its 2025 Make Things Better initiative, expanding efforts throughout San Diego County.
This year, NST will build on the strong foundation established with the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank while exploring new partnerships that reflect and serve San Diego's diverse communities.
Together, NST is committed to Make Things Better in San Diego, and beyond.
