I may be biased because I live in North Park, but I totally have a PR crush on my neighborhood.
During a recent early morning run on University Avenue, I was stopped in my tracks by a business’ mission statement posted in the store window for all to see.
There it was, an oversized poster anchored by the words “Mission Statement” and followed by an explanation of the company’s commitment to its services and customers.
Kudos to you, North Park business (which shall remain nameless since it wasn’t open at 6:30 a.m. for me to ask permission to name it in this blog post, nor is it an NST client).
Clearly establishing your mission, vision and values to guide not only your business endeavors and expectations of your employees, but your interactions with established and potential customers is PR 101. But, we don’t often see customer-facing commitments taken from the deep, dark corners of the About Us section of a website and posted front and center amid a company’s day-to-day operations.
I couldn’t be more proud of this business and admit: I’m totally “PR crushing” on this business in my beloved neighborhood.
