Okay, the headline is misleading … I don’t wish to spark or participate in a debate on the benefits or downside of using jQuery in your website or web applications. The truth is, there are many tools and libraries out there for front-end web developers; so, to each their own! I happen to love jQuery for its large open-source community. It is also very easy to use and implement and there are many tools already built for us to use so we don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Designmodo.com is a fantastic resource for designers and front-end developers, and they recently posted a great article on 25 Free and Sought-After jQuery Plugins.
