Promotions Reflect Strategic Mindset and Ability to Help Clients Reach Business Objectives
SAN DIEGO – Recognizing their hard work, creativity and personal growth at Nuffer, Smith, Tucker Public Relations and on behalf of the agency’s clients, Price Adams is being promoted to vice president and Katie Nieri to senior account executive at the firm.
With more than 10 years of experience helping notable San Diego companies and brands develop positioning and strategic communications platforms, Adams will continue to lead NST’s efforts in the consumer and nonprofit sectors, and focus on new business development. Nieri draws on six years of experience at NST and has been an integral part of the agency’s growing agri-food practice area.

Since 2005, Adams has planned and executed a variety of strategic public relations activities, including press events, website development, branding strategies, media training, social media strategies, issues management and marketing communications plans, on behalf of the firm’s clients, including San Diego County McDonald’s, Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego and the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Adams used her experience to help elevate the firm’s own positioning platform for its 40th anniversary year in 2014 and continues to spearhead NST’s professional development program, including managing NST’s Writing Workshop, to ensure the staff continues to build upon their skills and stay on top of the latest trends in marketing and communications. In her new role, Adams will continue to support NST’s consumer and nonprofit clients, and use her food and beverage experience to lead new business efforts.
Nieri is from a family rich with agriculture ties and, as a result, has formed a deep passion for telling the story of where food comes from and how it is cultivated. In her six years since joining NST, Nieri has led statewide media outreach campaigns for the Citrus Pest & Disease Prevention Program, delivering important messages that reach millions of people each year while developing strong relationships with consumer and industry media contacts. Nieri has also helped form and implement strategic plans, managed digital and social communications, and executed media relations outreach for various clients in the agri-food, consumer and nonprofit sectors. Moving forward, Nieri will continue to play an integral role in NST’s agri-food practice area through her extensive knowledge base and sharp eye for tracking industry trends.
