Combined Firms Bring Together History of Successful Programs For Some of the Region’s Most Notable Companies, Organizations
SAN DIEGO – Nuffer, Smith, Tucker Public Relations and Gable PR will merge operations beginning April 1, bringing together two firms that have been serving the broad communications needs of companies and organizations for four decades – NST since 1974 and Gable since 1976.
Led by veteran professionals Bill Trumpfheller and Tom Gable, the combined firm will operate under the Nuffer, Smith, Tucker name at NST’s current office located at 4045 Third Ave. in San Diego. The combined operation will offer a broader array of services to help clients succeed in the ever-changing and more challenging world of strategic branding, public relations and marketing communications. The merged company will have 26 professionals and annual billings of more than $3.5 million.

NST opened on April 1, 1974, and over four decades has partnered with or represented many of San Diego’s most notable brands and organizations locally, nationally and internationally – including WD-40 Company, Chicken of the Sea, Sony Electronics, McDonald’s, San Diego Zoo, San Diego State University and others.

Trumpfheller will be president of the combined operation. Gable will be vice chairman. Gable PR staff will move to NST offices on April 1.
