As organic reach on Facebook continues to erode, brand managers are flocking to Instagram, which now boasts more than 200 million users. But what tools are out there to help you manage and measure? I heard about a few tools at Social Media Day here in San Diego a couple weeks ago, and here are a few of my favorites:
Iconosquare (formerly Statigram)
Probably the most complete tool and an authorized third-party service, it helps you manage activity, measure results and better engage with your followers. Iconosquare’s dashboard gives you a snapshot of things like how often you post, what your most used filter is and what tags you’re using most often. It also shows you how many likes, comments and new followers you have per month, how that relates to the previous month and what your most popular posts were. The greatest thing about it, though, besides it currently being free, is it not only shows you when and how frequently you post, but also when your followers post, so you can find the best possible time to reach your audience. It can also work within your existing Hootsuite account.
TOTEMS Analytics (formerly Nitrogram)
Helps you measure users, hashtags, posts, engagement, impressions, identify advocates, monitor competition and benchmark your activity. However, this one’s not free – their basic “Dynamite” package starts at $129/month with a one-year contract.
Allows you to schedule Instagram posts and manage multiple accounts through an easy-to-use web-based interface. Pricing ranges from $13-$100/month depending on what you want.
WEBSTA (formerly Webstagram)
A desktop viewer of Instagram photos that shows the most popular hashtags being used.
Are you on Instagram yet? If so, what are your must-use tools?
