Life Settlement Solutions

Challenge:

Life Settlement Solutions’ management created the first institutional funding platform in the life settlement market and originated the first major pool of institutionally funded life settlement policies, but the company lacked name recognition among investors, which limited its growth.

Research conducted by Nuffer, Smith, Tucker demonstrated the need to educate the financial professional community, as well as insurance brokers and agents, on life settlements and ways it could be utilized with business, estate planning and other advanced planning strategies.

NST implemented a national communications campaign to establish key executives as experts in the industry by securing media interviews and bylined articles in trade publications, conducting educational webinars, and launching a new company website. In addition, NST launched Life Settlement Awareness Month™ (LSAM), a month-long educational event, held each June, to bring timely industry education to financial and insurance professionals.

Results:

Life Settlement Solutions grew from a staff of 10 to 50 and attributed its growth to communication efforts.
