Foley & Lardner – San Diego

Challenge:

There are a plenary of law firms in San Diego, so creating an integrated communications plan to strategically target potential clients was vital to the success of the San Diego and Del Mar offices of Foley & Lardner.

Nuffer, Smith, Tucker worked with Foley & Lardner’s corporate team, located in Chicago, to develop a comprehensive public relations plan that included positioning attorneys as media experts within their practice areas, coordinating Breakfast Briefings to educate potential clients and current clients on the firm’s extensive practice areas, and identifying and developing opportunities for Foley & Lardner attorneys to engage in the business community. In addition, NST served as the firm’s in-house marketing department and assisted attorneys on day-to-day requests.

Results:

Local media established relationships with Foley attorneys and often contacted them directly for interviews.

Foley-sponsored events, including Women Who Mean Business awards and San Diego Jewish Film Festival, providing Foley with major name recognition and allowing attorneys to network with current and potential clients.

Television, print, online and radio interviews and coverage were secured in local and regional outlets.
