San Diego Social Media SymposiumWe took our first foray into the social media landscape in the late '90s, before the phrase “social media” existed. Since then, we’ve been at the forefront of social media strategy and execution, which is why is 2009 we created the first-ever San Diego Social Media Symposium. From the beginning, the symposium – which just marked its third year in 2012 – has been about more than social media tactics – it’s about social media strategy. The event has attracted the top national minds in social media and speakers from San Diego’s marquee companies and organizations.
The more than 200 attendees of the 2012 San Diego Social Media Symposium were welcomed with a keynote address from Jason Falls, Social Media Strategist, Author of SocialMediaExplorer.com and “No Bullshit Social Media: The All-Business, No-Hype Guide To Social Media Marketing,” and learned about mobile marketing from Gary Kim, editor of Mobile Marketing & Technology, Content Marketing News and Carrier Evolution. Panel presentations on a variety of topics such as creating compelling brand content, online reputation management, and offline and online word of mouth communication included representatives from some of the top regional and national brands, including:
